PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY There are three steps to complete this course. This is a hybrid course which consists of an online and in-person component. The cost of this Purplepass ticket is for the in-person skills training. Step one covers the cost of the online didactic portion payable directly to AHA. Total cost of participation is $67 (online plus in person) Current American Heart Association standards for one and two rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and obstructed airway procedures on the adult, infant and pediatric victim. Use of automated external defibrillator and resuscitative equipment. Students receive healthcare provider BLS eCard upon successful completion of the course. STEP 1: Take the online didactic BLS course. Students are to go to the following site and take the online course PRIOR to taking this class (fee is $36.00 payable directly to the American Heart Association- price subject to change per AHA). Please follow this link: https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls STEP 2: Purchase Purple Pass Ticket. (You can do this simultaneously as step one to reserve your seat, however be prepared to show your certificate upon completion of the online course at the in-person skills training session) The cost for skills instruction/assessment is $31 which covers the cost of instruction, skills, and your card. Reminder: You need to complete both the online portion (step 1) and the skills portion (step 2) in order to be eligible to receive your AHA BLS Provider card. You will receive your card on the same day upon successful completion of the skills course. Please add one ticket to your cart and pay the fee to reserve your seat. Step 3: Attend the In-person Skills Session located at Southwest Skill Center on Estrella Mountain Community College Campus located at 3000 N Dysart Rd, Avondale, AZ 85392 The class will be in the EMT classroom, room 138. The front double doors may be locked. If they are, go immediately past them to the next set of double doors. That is the entrance to the EMT classrooms. Watch for CPR signs that will guide and direct you. Parking: Please enter the campus off of Thomas Rd. Park in the E lot and follow the main walkway into the campus, which will take you directly to the skill center, it is directly across from the student union. Please Note:
