III explores the military conquests andpersonal struggles of King Edward III. It delves into themes of power, love, and honor. Although it's not one of Shakespeare's most well-known works, it showcases his brilliant storytelling and poetic prowess. Edward III opens our season-long series Muse of Fire: Shakespeare's Wars of the Roses cycle - nine plays in 25 weeks! Admission is free. A donation of $10 - $15 per person is suggested to cover the cost of producing these performances. Feel free to bring a lawn chair, a cushion, a blanket, or rent one of our lawn chairs in our VIP section. Well-behaved canine companions on leashes are welcome. into your map or GPS. This will avoid sending you down a narrow back street to our actor parking lot. However, if anyone in your party has mobility issues, you can park in our accessible lot at 99 Jersey St, Asheville NC 28801. Additional Information
Limited free parking. Additional free parking at Tempie Avery Community Center, 34 Pearson Drive, and at Asheville Chamber of Commerce, 36 Montford Avenue. On-street parking is NOT allowed on the shoulders of the narrow roads within the Center complex so emergency vehicles can access the amphitheatre. These are marked as Fire Lanes and are subject to towing at your expense.
Rain Policy - if a light sprinkle, we play on. If a sudden thunderstorm (common in the mountains), we'll hold the show and let the rain pass over. We only cancel in the event of a hard, all-night rain. We don't cancel before 7:30 pm, so feel free to bring rain gear and an umbrella if rain is in the forecast!
