Rosati-Kain Academy Description
Radium Girls tells the moving and dramatic true story of the young women who were poisoned while working as watch dial painters for the US Radium Corp in the 1920s and their fight for justice, which made national headlines in its time. Nearly 100 years later, the story of the "radium girls" is just as relevant as it was then, as our society still grapples with corporate liability versus personal responsibility when peoples' lives are forever altered (or cut short) by their workplace environment. Content advisory: Brief mild language and several insensitive jokes reflective of the time period. References to pain and death. Some blood effects makeup. One instance of suggested smoking. May not be suitable for audiences under age 10. Additional Information
