Description
Colson Whitehead is only the fourth writer to win two Pulitzers in the category of fiction, the first for The Underground Railroad and the second for The Nickle Boys. The Underground Railroad also won a National Book Award. Whitehead is also a New York Times bestselling author of a collection of essays, The Colossus of New York. His latest novel, Harem Shuffle, was published to wide acclaim in 2021. Join us for an interview of Whitehead by Cedric Gael Bryant, Colby College Creative Lee Family Professor of English, and students. Gael Bryant specializing in American Literature, particularly African American Literature and Southern Cultural Studies. Organized by Colby College's Creative Writing Program. Whitehead is this year's Kristina Stahl Writer-in-Residence. |
