Covenant Theatre Dept Description
Edward Albee called Our Town "the greatest American play ever written." As we travel back to quaint Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire in 1901, we meet teenage Emily and her obtusely well-meaning crush George. We watch the villagers live their daily round of milk delivery, grass cutting, bean snapping and hymn sings. We listen as the public joys and secret sorrows of the populace are quietly revealed. But eventually we are astonished to realize the play isn’t about a New Hampshire village at all. Parking is available in Sanderson Lot, located between Maclellan Hall (a dorm) and Sanderson Hall. The entrance to Sanderson Lot is south of the College's main entrance. Parking is at ground level. To access the second floor of Sanderson Hall, patrons may use stairs or the elevator.
