Remy Block’s cabaret show On a Lonely Road…Travelin' with Joni weaves a dreamy narrative of Remy's life “in search of love and music,” starting with her youth as a restless misfit in Dallas in the 70’s to her artistic and spiritual awakening as a university student in Boulder, through the stormy collision of creativity and romance as a young, passionate artist in Austin, to a transformative solo sojourn to India, accompanied all along by Joni Mitchell's music as a guide to map her search for inspiration and understanding.
Directed by Raquel Cion. Musical director Gregory Toroian on piano. Songs by Joni Mitchell Stories by Remy Block Rembert “Remy” Block (performer, writer) is a Brooklyn, NY based singer, writer and educator. She performs as a cabaret artist and sings with the original bands Bubble and American Ambulance, as well as around town with many other wonderful musicians.
