Comedy Night in San Jacinto to
Benefit Children's Golf Education
An Improv and Comedy Hour is scheduled for Friday September 27 at the Esplanade Arts Center in San Jacinto. The event is presented by the Diamond Valley Arts Council and is sponsored by Grandfathers for Golf. Performers include Donny Shaffer, event organizer, and Wayne Snook, Darcie Flansburg, Michael Tennant, and Josh Sommers. In addition to great comedy sensibility, this group of entertainers has considerable experience in local theater, including the Inland Stage Company and Don’t Play With Your Food Productions. They are accomplished in writing, acting and directing. Grandfathers for Golf, a San Jacinto based non-profit organization, is dedicated to teaching children of all economic backgrounds how to play the game of golf. “We also work with the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) and its Youth on Course program,” says Marty Finn, co-founder of Grandfathers for Golf. "In addition to learning the game of golf, kids learn other invaluable life skills including patience, manners, etiquette, responsibility, teamwork and so much more. We work with school districts to sign up students and arrange busing to and from participating golf courses.”
The show begins at 8 pm. Tickets are $15. The Esplanade Arts Center is located at 2181 W. Esplanade Avenue, San Jacinto (at Sanderson and Esplanade).
