For 20 years Starr Foster Dance has produced the Mid-Atlantic Choreographers Showcase with the sole mission to expose the general Richmond community, as well as dance and art enthusiasts, to the performing arts. This years Showcase we celebrate PRIDE by presenting works that embrace LGBTQIA+ themes and concepts regarding gender, sex, and sexuality. The choreographers have been selected through an adjudication process with the ultimate goal of providing three performances of eclectic and engaging dance works in one weekend.

Through the Choreographers Showcase, Starr Foster Dance has produced over 250 choreographers from 65 different cities and has continually been the only dance festival on the east coast that provides support for new works by professional dance artists and companies. It is incredibly inspiring, each and every year, to be able to present such a variety of gifted choreographers and introduce them to the our flourishing RVA art scene.

The Firehouse Theatre is located at 1609 W. Broad Street near the corner of Lombardy & West Broad in the Fan neighborhood of Richmond. Free street parking is often available on either side of Broad Street between Lombardy and Allen, and along Lombardy between Grace and Broad. It is very hard to seat late patrons, so we encourage you to come early.

The bar will be open and there's plenty of lounging space.

Performances are General Admission. All the seats are fantastic!
