You and your dreamcoat, ahead of your time!” One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song with the help of a main character Narrator, the musical follows preferred son Joseph. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired, Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family. The magical musical is full of catchy songs in a variety of styles, from a parody of French ballads (“Those Canaan Days”), to country-western (“One More Angel in Heaven”) and calypso (“Benjamin Calypso”), along with the unforgettable classics “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door.” “Jubilant... What keeps the show alive is its delight in simple storytelling, the bounce of Tim Rice’s lyrics and the merry eclecticism of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score, which embraces country and western, calypso, French chanson and Elvis-style rock... There is wit in Lloyd Webber’s willingness to try different styles and in Rice’s verbal dexterity.” – Michael Billington, The Guardian CCP never stops working to give you the very best in live theatrical entertainment!! **YOU NOW HAVE 2 TICKET OPTIONS AT THE SPACIOUS CAPITAL CITY PRODUCTIONS 70 FOOT MAINSTAGE!!** **Option 1! - You have the choice to enjoy a Dinner Buffet **SHOW+DINNER** In The Hawthorn Bank Banquet Room (located inside the theatre) by Hometown Favorite Caterer - Lehmen BBQ Catering!, “…….Down home country cooking done right!” Now Serving At The Great Pyramids Nightly!! · Savory Fried Chicken · Succulent Baked Ham · Real Mashed Buttery Potatoes & Gravy · Smoked Baked Beans · Homestyle Seasoned Green Beans · Traditional House Salad w/ Homemade Sweet Italian Dressing · Fresh Baked Yeast Rolls with Creamy Butter · Old-Fashioned Sweet Strawberry Shortcake OR **Option 2! - You may choose to enjoy the **SHOW-ONLY** ticket option and bring your own snacks! **The choice is yours!** **Coffee, Tea, and Lemonade are served but you are welcome, as always, to bring your own Broadway libations (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) to make your show come to life!!** Evening Shows: 6:00pm - Show+Dinner Doors Open 6:30pm - Buffett Served 7:00pm - Show-Only Doors Open 7:30pm - Show Time Matinee Shows: 11:30am - Show+Dinner Doors Open 12:00pm - Buffett Served 12:30pm - Show-Only Doors Open 1:00pm - Show Time Online Tickets: Or https://ccpjc.org/purple-joseph-and-the-amazing-technicolor-dreamcoat-the-musical/ Or by calling or texting our Jefferson Bank CCP Box Office at: (573) 681-9612 Or emailing: **NOW with all our performances, there ARE paper-tickets issued.
