Ride the Cyclone is a musical that premiered off-Broadway in 2016. The musical focuses on the St. Cassian Chamber Choir of Uranium City, Saskatchewan and their choir competition/field trip to an amusement park. The choir perishes in a freak accident on The Cyclone roller coaster. The choir finds themselves in Limbo after they die and are guided through the afterlife by a mystical fortune-telling machine named The Amazing Karnak. Karnak acts as a narrator throughout the story and tells the children that he has the power to give life back to one of the choir members. The choir members tell their life story through song one by one in order to win Karnak's and each other's favor. Will Ocean O'Connell-Rosenburg, an enthusiastic know-it-all; Constance Blackwood, the "nicest girl in town"; Mischa Bachinski, a Ukrainian adoptee with a love for hip hop; Noel Gruber, the only gay kid in town; Ricky Potts, the disabled, mute, imaginative kid; or Jane Doe, a headless young girl that know one seems to remember win a second chance at life?
