In this show we will use dance, music, film, and live action videography to convey storylines surrounding injustice, pharmaceutical dependency, land protection, personal rights and the disillusionment of the current political and emotional trajectory as a society as well as who we are as individuals and our place in it. With our title, “this is a protest,” we hope to communicate both our anger and passion towards change, and waking up society through dance. Our show is set to grunge rock music, the choice of our music has a major input on the intention of our show, being a protest to societal norms as well as the overwhelming freedom that comes from headbanging to your favorite song.
