The Braxton Brothers are the “funky twins of Smooth Jazz”, that began their careers with a #1 Album and that popularized the blended sound of sax and 6-string bass melodies, which became their signature. The brothers, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, write, record and produce their songs, giving them a sound that is both undeniably unique but still familiar to fans of the Smooth Jazz genre. The Braxton Brothers are back, following up on their hit “Forever Together” which soared on the charts, securing Top 3 spots on charts from Billboard, Smooth Jazz Network, Mediabase and others. Celebrated for its popularity, “Forever Together” was also a mainstay at the top of AccuRadio’s “Listener Approved” list due to its high ratings from the network’s listeners. Now, the duo introduces “Groovin’ at the Symphony Hall,” a single that promises to provide listeners another “smooth, but funky™” treat, but this time with the backdrop of a grand symphony orchestra experience. Originally from San Francisco Bay Area, the brothers connected with their hometown friends Peter Horvath (Pete Escovedo, Ray Obeido, Marion Meadows) on piano, and Brian Collier (Ledisi, Lalah Hathaway, Goapele, Santana) on drums. Filling things out on rhodes is their fellow artist and friend, Jason Peterson DeLaire. “Groovin’ at the Symphony Hall” is not just a song, it’s a journey that brings the Smooth Jazz listener into a grand hall to sonically taste the textures and colors of the orchestra. The two worlds are blended to perfection for a memorable, and always “groovin’”, experience. Be sure to catch The Braxton Brothers aboard the Dave Koz & Friends at Sea 2024 Cruise, as well as dates coming up on both coasts! "Groovin’ at the Symphony Hall" was both penned by and produced by Nelson Braxton(Braxton Brothers Productions/ASCAP) |
