CCP Is Thrilled To Announce Its New “SPOTZ! On Teens Mentorship Program”

Headed up by Christina Stout & Emily Whitener-Roberts this new program will pair CCP Theatre mentors with our teens to produce from the ground up a full scale production of their choosing.

From auditioning, set design, costume design, lighting and sound design, music directing, producing/artistic directing, choreography, and stage managing.

This new exciting program is designed to give our teens, ages 13 - 18, the opportunity to shine!

This new program will be encouraging: 

Fun Team Building

Good Communication

Reliability and Resiliency

Handling Pressure and Deadlines

Skills To Work As Part of a Creative Team

Become an Effective Motivator Themselves

Ability to React Quickly

Good at Organizing Your Own Work and the Work of Others 

Able to Use Your Initiative

While Getting to Express Individual Artistic Flair!

We remember youth week in our local church when the youth would take over and what an amazingly fun & positive experience that was, so building from that concept teens will be working over the next several months on taking over CCP during a week in January 2025 with a production of their own making! 

CCP wants to give our community Teens that chance to “put-a-feather-in-their-cap” and “a-star-by-their-name” and give them a head-start in building their future endeavors! 

First up is Disney’s “Descendant’s The Musical!”

January 9th, 10th, and 11th - 2025

You'll be #RottenToTheCore with Descendants the Musical!

Based on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, Disney's Descendants: The Musical is a brand-new musical jam-packed with comedy, adventure, Disney characters, and hit songs from the films!

Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains who ever lived – the teenaged children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now. 

When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learn to be good?
