48th Season in 2024-2025: Awaken to the SSO's 48th Season! The SSO’s 48th
season opening concert is mostly about waking up in one way or another. Bach’s
very famous “Sleepers Awake” cantata is a fitting introduction to the concert,
while Haydn’s famous “Surprise” Symphony has the wake-up chord in the second
movement! The waltz from Tchaikovsky’s famous Sleeping Beauty ballet is also
a proper addition, as is the fabulous orchestral suite from John Williams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The same composer’s lovely theme from Angela’s Ashes is sandwiched
between the Tchaikovsky waltz and Star Wars! Johann

Awake" (Chorale Prelude) March of the Resistance The lobby opens at 6:45 pm for patrons to enjoy concessions from Coffee Coffee and local artist and author vendors. While we welcome children at our concerts, we kindly ask that children who cannot remain silent be escorted to the lobby as a courtesy to the other patrons and performers.
