From
Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Beth Henley comes this poetic, whimsical, and
wildly funny Southern gothic fairy tale. IMPOSSIBLE MARRIAGE hilariously pokes fun at the heroic struggle between
our polite, civilized duties and our innermost primitive desires. Much to her dismay, elegant Kandall’s (Francesca Jellison) overly romantic
youngest daughter Pandora (Molly Bryant
Roberts) is to be wed to the brooding Edvard, (James Noel Hoban) a celebrated novelist over twice her age. Floral, (Jennifer Porter) Pandora’s wry older sister, due to give birth at
any moment, and married to the affable
and handsome Jonsey, (William McDonough
III) tries to help her mother put an end to the unsuitable match. But it seems they are not the only ones
against the marriage, as Sidney, (Stowell
Watters) the groom’s troubled son, arrives with a note from his mother, Edvard’s
ex, stating her intention to throw herself from her attic window if the wedding
goes forward. To make matters
worse, it appears that even the kind-hearted Reverend, (Dana Packard) who has come to wed the couple, has his own desperate
secrets sure to interfere with the impending union!

up love and marriage.” – Time

delightfully balmy family.” - The Associated Press
