solo show- LUSH, directly from Feinstein’s to an intimate evening at The
Historic Duplex. Recent guest artist at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center’s
Cabaret & Performance Conference, LUSH takes audiences on an intoxicating
comedic odyssey through lust, love and loss. Borghesi mixes us an up-tempo
elixir of lounge, Latin, jazz and Broadway, with a special tribute to Shirley
Bassey and the hits of Eartha Kitt and Rosemary Clooney. Leaving you thirsty for

Leanne Borghesi: This “Big Boned Comedian”

Conference, Leanne debuted her one woman show, BAZAZZ, under direction of
Michael Bush. She performed alongside Amanda McBroom, Lillias White, Penny
Fuller, Marilyn Maye and Loni Ackerman in Accentuate The Positive, A Johnny
Mercer Tribute and “Mama” in Jonathan Brielle’s, “40 Naked Women, A Monkey &
Me”. Borghesi attended the International Cabaret Conference at Yale University
in 2011 and performed in the UK, “This Summer I Lived” featuring the original
music of songwriter David Kent. BATCC Award winner for NCTC’s solo show-
DIVALICOUS, with NYC performances at The Metropolitan Room and most currently
ALL SKATE at the Duplex last Spring. A founding member of the bawdy comedic trio
“B.O.O.B.S” (Busty, Outrageous, Over-the-Top, Broads, Singing) with over 10
produced shows, venues include: Feinstein’s at the Nikko, The Rrazz Room, The

Director Bio: Nicolas Minas director of Leanne Borghesi is
“LUSH” st FEINSTEIN’S at the Nikko, is a California-raised theater and film
director of Mexican-Armenian descent transplanted from Chicago and based in New
York City. He was the Assistant Director for the Broadway production of DRIVING
MISS DAISY, the Assistant Director of Filming for the Emmy Nominated Live at
Lincoln Center production of SWEENEY TODD, the Assistant Director for the New
York premiere of Sarah Ruhl's ORLANDO, and held an SDC Observership on the Live
at Lincoln Center Production of COMPANY. Of his recent production of STAND-UP
TRAGEDY by Bill Cain the New York Times said, "The vibe is palpable both in the
work and the setting. The result combines sardonic humor, blood-boiling anger
and heartbreaking tragedy." He recently directed hit productions of AVENUE Q and
THE 39 STEPS for Cape Fear Regional Theater. This past spring he directed and
adapted Goldoni’s A SERVANT OF TWO MASTERS for Sonnet Repertory Theater in
NYC.
In Chicago, he served as the founding Artistic Director of
Blindfaith Theater. His production of GOREY STORIES was called "one of the most
singular theatrical experiences of the season" by the Chicago Tribune. He
directed a cabaret-street performance style production of THE TAMING OF THE
SHREW for Theo Ubique Theatre of which the Chicago Tribune said "Major credit to
director Nick Minas, whose concept captures the spirit of Shakespeare--more than
anything seen in years at bigger theaters with deeper budgets." His production
of WOODY GUTHRIE’S AMERICAN SONG was nominated for 5 Jeff Awards including
Outstanding Director and Outstanding Musical Production.
Nick trained
at The Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (PCPA), Roosevelt
University's Chicago Conservatory of the Performing Arts and the Advanced
Directing training program at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. He is a member
of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab 2011, Directors Lab West and
Associate Member of SDC.
Musical Director Bio: Brandon Adams is
currently an theatre instructor at American University. He has been a guest
artist and lecturer at San Francisco State University and Dartmouth College, and
he has Music Directed dozens of musicals in the Bay Area, including the West
Coast premieres of Leanne Borghesi in LUSH at FEINSTEIN’S at the Nikko, Henry
David Huang’s Flower Drum Song, Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years, and
Musical of Musicals, the Musical! He is the resident MD at Center Repertory
Theatre. Brandon is a frequent cabaret accompanist and coach, having worked with
the Pacific Boychoir Academy on four International tours, as well as singers
