Description
From young playwright Gregory-Yves Fénélon comes the new dramedy YOUNG FOREVER. YOUNG FOREVER is a dramedy tells the story of a group of 6 friends from Somers, New York who are each just finishing their first year of university. A little prior to the start of the story Maddie, the glue of the group and the one who introduced them all to each other, commits suicide in her dorm at NYU and the group is left distraught. Resurrecting an old plan to spend the summer living together in New York City the story opens as Julia, Steven, Tommy, Jay, Bliss, Hanna and her uninvited boyfriend Luke are each arriving from the respective schools to the loft in the Lower East Side. The story then goes on as they all deal with the suicide of their friend as well as their own issues and reconnect as a group. The play examines themes related to young adulthood such as growing up, sex, love and friendship. The show is also meant to show how young artists in and around Ottawa can come together to create new work. There are no lead characters but instead an ensemble cast to really showcase the power of a group. Items Not Allowed
