Being a child of New Orleans, music has always been a part of Byron’s everyday life.  After years of playing jazz saxophone he made the leap into musical theatre and discovered another side of his voice while studying at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. During that time he began digging into classical voice, reveling in the worlds of Verdi and Puccini. Soon after graduating he began his theatrical career touring the country in Miss Saigon and My Fair Lady and in regional productions including Beauty and the Beast and Ragtime among others. He’s been lucky to share the stage with legends such as Melba Moore, Stephanie Mills and Chita Rivera.  After taking a break from the stage, his immense love for music has brought him back to where it all started. In Byron St. Cyr: Old French Whore he sings the songs he loves the way he wants to and was always meant to.

What do you do after 3 yrs being off the market? This started off as a show about love but quickly began to reflect what happens when that comfort blanket is suddenly pulled out from under you. Returning to the single world and exploring the world of apps can send one down the rabbit hole of men. Was this insatiable appetite always deep inside? How did I get here? Who is the person sleeping next to me? We will try to answer those questions in this night of music spanning from 80s pop to contemporary musical theatre but all with a jazz flair. After all, what else goes best with the image of a tired old broad leaning against a lamppost at4am? Drinks and men will be had and lost and maybe a touch of discovery or redemption. Join us, put your legs up, and get ready for some fun.
